Project Timeline

The Cairns Regional Council voted to proceed with the Cairns Entertainment Precinct in December 2011.

The Project Manager reports to the Cairns Entertainment Precinct Committee on a monthly basis and detailed timelines are sometimes adjusted to meet Council and project delivery requirements.

The key milestones current at 2 March 2012 are as follows -

• March 2012             Investigative Works on White’s Shed 

• April 2012                Managing Contractor appointed

• August 2012           Commence main works on site

• December 2012     Substructure completed

• December 2013     Roof over theatre

• November 2014     Seating installed

• May 2015                 Practical completion
